Come join the Nature Consortium for a work party at the West Duwamish Greenbelt (www.naturec.org)

Each work party begins with a Forest Ecology Workshop.  During the winter months we will be planting native plants and trees throughout the site.

Performing artists come out to "play in the woods" during our work parties to give volunteers a creative viewpoint of the forest. Recent playful artists include: The Cabiri, Cynthia Feldt, Lelavision, Susie Kozawa, Amy Denio, Christian Swenson, Daniel Shurman, Kristen Tsiatsios.

Please RSVP if you'll be attending.  Tools & refreshments provided. Wear waterproof footwear & weather appropriate clothing.

For volunteer work parties we will meet at the corner of 14th Ave. SW & SW Holly St. (just a few blocks south of South Seattle Community College).

The Nature Consortium is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to teach environmental lessons through the creative arts & hands-on conservation projects.

Directions to the site: From I-5 or SR-99: take West Seattle Bridge exit, from the bridge take the Delridge Way SW/South Seattle Comm. College exit (right hand exit), drive south on Delridge Way SW to the 3rd light, at this light turn left on SW Oregon St. (just past the pedestrian overpass), follow this hilly arterial road as it winds around and continue following until it makes a hairpin turn to right and turns into 16th Ave. SW. After a few blocks the college will appear on the left, go past the college a few blocks until you're in the 7000 S. block, take a left on SW Myrtle St., a left on 14th Ave. SW and follow to the end where it meets SW Holly. This is the entrance to the trailhead. The Nature Consortium staff will meet you there.
