Celebrate Earth Day with Green Seattle!

On April 22, 1970, 20 million Americans took to the streets, parks, and auditoriums to demonstrate for a healthy, sustainable environment in massive coast-to-coast rallies. Thousands of colleges and universities organized protests against the deterioration of the environment. This was the birth of the first-ever “Earth Day,” which we are still celebrating 47 years later!

Do your part this Earth Day, April 22nd, by giving back to your local parks and natural areas. Green Seattle has plenty of opportunities to get outside, get your hands dirty, and to make a beneficial impact on the environment. Check out the list of volunteer events happening over Earth Day weekend, and bring along your friends and family to help celebrate this day of service!
